Origins

Sustainability at Eskola Swim is about making thoughtful choices at every stage of the process. Our fabrics are sourced from an Italian mill known for its high-quality performance materials and ongoing investment in more responsible production. Their facility is designed to reduce environmental impact, with a focus on energy efficiency, water conservation, and minimizing waste throughout the production process.

We prioritize the use of recycled nylon fabrics to reduce reliance on virgin materials. Where necessary, we also work with select non-recycled components—such as certain linings or structured textiles—chosen for their performance, feel, and longevity. Each material is considered carefully, balancing function, durability, and overall impact.

Production takes place in small runs locally in Los Angeles, allowing us to stay close to how each piece is made and avoid unnecessary excess. Our materials are chosen not only for lower impact, but for longevity—designed to hold their shape, resist chlorine, and be worn over time rather than for a single season. We also use digital printing methods, which reduce water and energy use compared to traditional techniques.

All of our fabrics are OEKO-TEX® certified, ensuring they are free from harmful substances and safe against the skin. We see this as an ongoing process—grounded in material integrity, longevity, and a more considered approach to how things are made. There’s an awareness that what we wear exists in relation to everything around it—the water, the air, the places we move through.

Fair Trade

We are committed to fair labor practices across every step of our production. Our factories operate in safe, ethical conditions, provide fair wages, and are held to the highest standards of respect.

We regularly visit our factories to ensure compliance with labor laws and support a respectful and ethical environment.

Fabrics

We carefully source our fabrics from Eurojersey, an Italian mill renowned for its premium quality, innovative materials, and long-standing commitment to sustainability. Many of our pieces are made with recycled nylon, including ECONYL® yarn, crafted from pre- and post-consumer waste such as fishing nets, carpet flooring, and industrial plastic. Using regenerated fibers helps reduce environmental impact and supports a circular economy.

All of our fabrics used are OEKO-TEX® certified, ensuring they are free from harmful substances and safe for both people and the environment. Eurojersey’s factory is also environmentally responsible, implementing energy-efficient processes, water-saving systems, and waste-reduction practices, allowing us to create beautiful swimwear while minimizing our footprint on the planet.
